25th August 2012
Windsurfing: Manor End Felixstowe
Wind Direction: SW
Wind Stength: F3-5
Surf / Sea State: big
Air Temperature: 18
Sea Temperature: ok
Weather: cloudy drizzle
Max Speed: 25.5 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 12 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

There was split in desired locations, Dip, Fludge and Manor where I launched. Great beach launch site Nxt to Manor caravans, free cark and beach 20 meters away. 5 ***** site.
It was my first sail since June, after a poxy elbow bursa; wind was OK - up/down rigged 6.2 / 120L, 7.2/155L and enjoyed the F4 part of the day. The wind increased dramatically to F5/6 causing a big sea, and I just couldn't cope. The usual crew Neil, Squiz Lord Swain Ian Mark and Alistair -were out and seem to have a great time.
Happy to get my first sail out for awhile and my elbow was only sore later. Snapped a harness bar when travelling at cosmic speed over the top, landing head first. As always, ensured I clear the board and sail, with my bulk, so no further damage.
Maker /Roger sailed at the Dip, but I think Manor was the lesser of 2 evils. Not brave enough to chase Squiz to Wadgate lodge, which is the 1 mile shipping lane marker!
